Mamapaparzzi

I truly appreciate this new fandangled digital age we live in, it facilitates my need to be constantly snapping photos of Miss Amelia in every condition—dressed or no. Here are a few of the most recent pics. (Sadly, I decided to refrain from posting nudey pictures. I don’t want to be accused of distributing indecent material. And Pete won’t let me.)

Judging from the following photos I'm afraid one might get the impression that Miss Amelia doesn't do anything but sleep. Actually, she can be quite perky between about 1:00-3:00 am. I however, am usually not so perky just then and tend to take more photos in daylight. Basically she's nocturnal.

This photo is also captures a pretty good indication of why most of Amelia's pictures are taken while she's sleeping. She's not always cooperative when awake.

Six weeks old. She's growing up!

She's a Daddy's Girl

Or more accurately, I'm usually the one taking the photos, not Pete.

Here’s what the Babes has been up to her first four weeks:

Nap time with Dad. This makes me a bit jealous, I used to be the one who got to cuddle with Pete during nap time. Looks like he's found a younger woman . . .

Homework. Amelia gets a bit bored, but it has to be done.

The stroller finally came in the mail and we took Miss Amelia out for her first walk in the park. This is how it went:

Beginning

Middle--Mom pushing the stroller

End (Notice:No stroller)

And of course, what parent can resist snapping a few pics of Bath Time?

Craft it Forward

I’m feeling creative. Or not really, but I was excited to get something homemade from a friend, so I signed up for this chain-crafty thing and now I’m obligated to pass it on. Here are the rules:
The first three people to comment on this post will get something homemade by me! My choice of a priceless Charlotte Tidwell original just for you. I guarantee you will love it, or at least that you will tell me you love it regardless.
It'll be done this year at some point. Be patient, I just had a baby.

The homemade gift could be anything (the air of mystery is what makes this thing exciting!) It may be a story. It may be poetry or a macaroni noodle necklace. I may draw or paint something. (But probably not, as even I wouldn’t expect anyone to pretend to love my drawings). I may bake you something and mail it to you. I might even cut a CD of my own lovely voice singing a selection of my favorite American Idol numbers. Who knows? Not you, and at this point, not me either.

Last but not least, you must continue this little game by reposting the offer of a secret homemade gift to the first 3 people who comment on your blog. The first 3 people to do so win a homemade gift by me that money can’t buy! Oh, and be sure to post a picture of what you win when you get it (so those who weren’t fast enough to win can be horribly jealous).

Model Baby

I got Amelia's photos done by the fabulous Lesley Colvin for a birth announcement. I loved the way they turned out. Thanks Lesley.

As Requested . . .

More photos of Miss Amelia. This is how Amelia feels about her carseat: She's not yet decided. No doubt she'll give me her opinion very soon.

Tummy time is not yet very effective. She usually just goes to sleep.

Love this face. I'm pretty sure its one of her many "Feed Me" faces, but the tiny little pinched lips crack me up.
