So, despite my very new and somewhat nauseating pregnancy (ten and a half weeks for those of you who must know) the Bishop of my ward still had the audacity to call me to be the President of this:
Actually, I don't mind. I'm even a touch excited as insane as that sounds. I'll get to know all the girls in my ward pretty well, and be in on all of what's going on with everybody. And because we are in a married student ward, there are about 78 girls who are pregnant right now. (That's a bit of an exaggeration, there are only 65 girls in my ward right now and I know of about 8 pregnancies, but I'm pretty sure there are some secret ones out there--like mine).
My best adventure so far has been trying to put together the visiting teaching list for August. There were several couples who moved out of the ward over the last month, and I had to rearrange everything, right after the Bishop asked me to make as few changes as possible because it takes so blasted long for people to get to know each other and feel comfortable visiting. Sigh . . .
Other exciting news is that I had my first baby appointment yesterday! It was so validating to know I've been feeling so tired and and nauseous for a reason (as I'm not showing yet I do occasionally forget I'm pregnant).
Unfortunately the little stink-weed wouldn't come out where the doctor could find a heartbeat, which would have made all this feel more real. I have to go back in two weeks to make sure he/she/it is really there.
One more interesting tidbit is that HP got a new car. Actually, it's not a new car, it's an old car. Actually, it's the same car he just got rid of. Really. It took him two months of searching to find another one of these:
